Recently the NATO Committee of Chiefs of Medical Services (COMEDS) has officially declared that all medical care at the point of injury (POI) should follow the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).
TCCC was developed in 1996 by and for US Navy Special Forces medics; over the years the TCCC approach has been addopted for POI care in many militaries; not only for Special Forces but for all military personnel.
Starting with the 2nd edition CIOMR has always taken care that its Manual for the CCC competition is in accordance with TCCC.
Now that TCCC has become the official NATO standard CIOMR has reviewed its CCC Manual once more, as it does every 6 months. The text of version 4.1A2 now follows the structure and wording of the TCCC / AC (All Combatants) Guidelines. “[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]3C – Combat Casualty Care Resource Page[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
